Become a Builder

We are excited to announce we are building another community in Phnom Penh, the Lenkov Village, named in honour of our major benefactors The Lenkov Family. Peter and Audie Lenkov generously gave up their home and their time and resources to host the annual 2023 House Party in L.A. in June where we raised the necessary funds to build this community.

A World Housing Safe House and vegetable garden and orchard are to be built. We are also drilling a new well for the Safe House to ensure there is adequate fresh water supply for years to come. We have already raised $100,000 to realize this project thanks to our major donor The Canadian Tilling Foundation who provided a major grant for $50,000. The balance of the funds have come from World Housing donors and we need just $10,000 to complete the funding for the new well. The Safe House is near completion and will allow 30 girls to start school in January 2024. This house means they can go to school , and will create meaningful change in the lives of many young girls and women in Zambia long into the future. The ultimate goal is to help these individuals lift themselves out of the gendered cycle of poverty by prioritizing their safety, well-being, and education.

We are currently raising funds to build 20 homes, a community centre, and a community park with a garden and playground. World Housing strives to empower the neglected and underfunded community of Guaranys and provide hope for a better future for its youth and their families.
