Michelle has recently committed to donating her commission from the sale of one of her listings in Vancouver’s Shaughnessy neighbourhood. This donation will enable a World Housing Community to be built. Michelle’s client, the seller of the property, has also partnered with her on this incredible project and will add to the funds with a substantial donation when his home is sold. Michelle Yu & her team will be holding Open Houses at the property at 1437 Connaught Drive for the next three Sundays (May 6th, May 13th and May 20th) from 2pm to 4pm.

The incredible outcome is that when this property sells, a donation will be unlocked that will enable World Housing to build homes for approximately 60 families currently living in unimaginable conditions in El Salvador.

In Michelle Yu’s community minded way, she will also broaden the reach of this good will and philanthropic gift to the purchaser of the property who will be invited to the gifting ceremony to the families when the community is built. The community will also be named in their honour.

“We are in a privileged position where we can help, and we are using this opportunity to help people who are living in unimaginable conditions. Through World Housing we can make a difference to these families giving them the safety and security of a home. This gives them hope, and the greatest opportunity for a brighter future” – Michelle Yu
