‘Agents of Change’ was created to empower the real estate industry to make social impact. This program enables realtors to donate funds from the sale of homes. 100 percent of funds raised are used to build homes for families living in slums around the world.
In the fall of 2016, World Housing and New Story joined forces with the executives team from Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty to create a philanthropic program to make real social impact. Driven by the passion and commitment of Steve Games, Nyda Jones-Church and Brian Arrington, the Agents of Change program was created and launched in March 2017.
The Agents of Change program has perfectly aligned with Sotheby’s International Realty’s brand and corporate values, while appealing to the hearts of their agents and real estate clients.
“We have an opportunity and a responsibility to reach out and do what we can to ensure that everyone, no matter where they are from, has access to the very basic need of shelter and security” – Steve Games and Founder Affiliate of the Agents of Change program.
Since launching the program, over 600 Sotheby’s realtors have opted into the program from all over the USA and Canada.
100 percent of the money raised by Agents of Change goes directly to home building through World Housing partners New Story Charity. New Story partnered with Icon have recently launched 3D home printing technology.
Using this revolutionary system, Agents of Change will fund the first ever 3D home community in 2019.
“Sotheby’s International Realty believes that home ownership is the foundation that gives people the chance for a better life. Through engaging realtors and empowering them to become social entrepreneurs, we are changing the lives of families one home at a time.” — Philip White, CEO Sotheby’s International Realty
