A lifelong resident of Waterloo, Ian Cook established Cook Homes Limited in 1985. With his own growing family as inspiration, he invested his personal and professional skills into creating a wide range of homes that appeal to a broad spectrum of home buyers. This inspiration is what has continued to shape and grow the standards and expectations of Cook Homes Limited throughout the years.
Cook Homes has been welcomed into some of Kitchener-Waterloo’s most prominent new areas to build homes in master-planned communities. They simply do not build homes; they build communities, and through this process, they give back to the communities we serve.
Ian Cooks understanding and deep commitment to providing homes to families and building community has expanded globally through their partnership with World Housing. Aligning on the belief that everyone deserves a safe home, they are now donating from their projects to help provide safe housing to families in dire need around the world.
“No family should live without adequate shelter, so by giving back a little to World Housing from the homes we build, we can help to provide housing and transform the lives of those who need our help.”
Collaborating on the first project with Zehr Group and Faisal Susiwala at Arbour Park, the team at Cook Homes joins World Housing for the cheque presentation at the site in Waterloo.
Respected by home-building industry colleagues, as well as within the community with several awards to its merit that have included Builder of the Year by the Waterloo Regional Home Builders’ Association (WRHBA), the William McCance Award for Technical Achievement from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association and recipient of the Vic Sellner Community Service Award.
Cook Homes works hard in every area of their business to exceed expectations. They are committed to building great communities and when you choose them as your new home builder you will know they are giving back to help communities.
