Dave & Ravi Mann with Don McQuaid, Managing Director for World Housing ‘House Party’ Fundraiser – Feb 2020

World Housing is proud to announce our newest partnership with the Isle of Mann Property Group, and the Mannkind Charitable Society. We are extremely honoured to welcome Dave and Rani, and the entire Mann Family as our newest Ambassadors.

ISLE OF MANN PROPERTY GROUP

Isle of Mann Property Group (IOM) is a vertically integrated group of real estate professionals committed to community growth and business success through disciplined investment and mindful development.

Isle of Mann was founded by Dave Mann in 1994, alongside his partner Kau Chan Yong. Although a modest developer of single-family homes at first, today IOM is known for their deep knowledge of real estate fundamentals to competently execute across the full spectrum of commercial and residential development, investment and asset management.

For Isle of Mann’s tremendous contributions to the real estate industry, Dave Mann was honoured as a Legend of Housing by the Greater Vancouver Home Builder’s Association as a “leader who has revolutionized approaches to residential housing”.

IOM’s reputation is built on a foundation of hard work, integrity and care. Their commitment to upholding these standards is reflected in everything they do as a real estate organization, and through various philanthropic initiatives under their registered Canadian charity, Mannkind Charitable Society.

“We don’t give —we share.” – Dave Mann

MANNKIND CHARITABLE SOCIETY

Established in 2009 by Isle of Mann Founder and President, Dave Mann, Mannkind provides impoverished children across various developing countries with a safe and caring environment to explore the world. It is Mannkind’s goal to develop a generation of leaders who promote an agenda of empathy, kindness and compassion through access to health care, education, and spiritual learning.

Specifically, it is Mannkind’s mission to create lasting solutions by:

  • Establishing innovative learning and leadership centres for orphans in developing countries
  • Relieving poverty for individuals and families both internationally and within Canadian communities
  • Advancing educational opportunities for underprivileged children across the world with a passion for athletics, arts or sciences
  • Partnering with like-minded charities in Canada to raise funds for global projects of social uplift

“We are conscious members of the global community. We consider it our duty and privilege to contribute toward the betterment of society and do so by sharing whatever abundance we have available to us.  As privileged citizens of a developed country, we firmly believe it is our responsibility to search out and share our wealth of resources with those who need it most.” — Dave Mann

Dave & Rani Mann, World Housing ‘House Party’ Fundraiser – Feb 2020

As World Housing Ambassadors and philanthropic partners, the Mann’s share our passion and belief that ‘everyone deserves a home’. So much so that in February 2020 at World Housing’s inaugural ‘House Party’ the Mann Family, through their Mannkind Charitable Society committed, to contribute more than half the critical funds needed to build a ‘Girls to Grannies Village’ in Cambodia. Working with World Housing’s building partner, the Cambodian Children’s Fund, we break ground this month with plans for the village to be completed in December 2020.

“We fundamentally believe that everybody deserves the safety and security of a home. We are passionate about being good sons and daughters of the earth and attending to the needs of the impoverished. Working with World Housing, we can foster solutions to end the cycle of poverty rooted in the plight of homelessness. We look forward to collaborating with World Housing in the development and improvement of communities around the world. Together we will sow the seeds of hope.”  – Rani Mann

When Dave and Rani met with the World Housing team, without hesitation they committed to getting involved. They saw the opportunity to support World Housing’s newest project, a unique purpose-built community that will house over 200 women. With the Mann’s incredible support, World Housing was able to fund the village construction and will provide these girls and women safety, and access to education. This is the type of action that changes the trajectory of poverty, and provides hope for a better future.

“Thank you so much to Isle of Mann Property Group for your generosity and support – you have made the difference in the lives of so many, and we look forward to making the world better, together.” – Don McQuaid, Managing Director, World Housing
